Shinji then looked over to the other Shinigami then spoke "And what is that you would like to ask? also a test to join your desired Squad? if so I can arrange that depending on the Squad in question...It is hard to sort things out with Squads when they lack Captains..." Shinji kept full eye contact with both when he spoke to them...everything for him was like a battle and he wouldn't loose it...although this was more for fun as some Shinigami did tend to get nervous and intimidated
