Kido returned to the fire to hear the story. He had almost sat down, but he thought that he should go sit near Ivy, so he looked around for her first. When he saw CopyCat sit with her, though, he turned and walked to the other side of the fire and sat by himself. Glancing over, he could see him trying to hold her hand and frowned.
