I'm game, if you need/want more that is. [hider=Aelus Septimus] Name: Aelus Septimus Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Turian Specialty: Marksman Homeworld: Palaven Height: 6'8" Skin Color: Pale grey Eye Color: Grey Appearance: Aelus is a typical male Turian in structure. He has facial markings indicative of his being born and raised on Palaven (Garrus is a prime reference) colored green. In addition to this, he has one large scar from the middle of his forehead on his left side down to the middle of his left cheek. To compliment his scar he has a few burn scars on his right arm and the lower right part of his face. Personality: At his core, Aelus is damaged goods. He's seen tragedy, endured hardship, and gotten the short end of several sticks, and this developed him into somewhat of a cynic. He manages to not let his mouth write check's his body can't cash, though he has taken a couple Krogan headbutts for letting his critical sarcasm slip. Typical of a Turian, he likes to get things done, both on and off duty. History: Born on Palaven, Aelus Septimus was the grandson of a Primarch, and the son of a General and a renowned Turian scientist. From birth great things were expected of him, though he was widely unremarkable until just before his 9th birthday. It was at this time that Aelus showed the first signs of a very rare condition amongst Turians. This rare condition of course was a reaction to Element Zero, or "eezo," exposure. From this time his entire life was plotted out for him, and this became more apparent to him when he was notified on his 15th birthday that after basic training, he would instead be entering a Turian Cabal. The life of a Cabal member is simple, and the reason it is so simple is that due to a stigma among Turian troops about the use of biotics, Cabals are highly isolated. The Hierarchy holds them separate from the rank and file for long reconnaissance missions, shock troops, infiltrators, and various other clandestine services. These teams of 10 to 15 specialists are highly skilled, deadly, and effective, but they're far from perfect. Their purpose is even more so to "Die for the Cause," and almost all Cabal members are lifers. Aelus was no different. He endured the training, fought through injuries, and found his way to being a young lieutenant in line for an unprecedented kabalim position at the head of his own Cabal. However, even the best laid schemes of Turian soldiers and commanders go awry. Aelus was assigned to the 3rd Cabal, the Void Hunters. They earned their name through being unsurpassed infiltrators, and several rumors surrounded the 3rd about assassinations, but nothing has ever stuck. Reports of Krogan piracy near the DMZ reached their kabalim before all but the highest of the Hierarchy were aware. This was due to an unusual brutality where these pirates left no prisoners. With incomplete intelligence, and suspiciously vague orders, the Void Hunters were geared up and through the nearest relay before anyone could ask questions. Their small ship patrolled in and around the Krogan DMZ for three days time before they made contact with an unmarked vessel. The Frigate-sized vessel hailed their Corvette, and demanded they lay down any arms and prepare to be boarded. In a slightly ambitious plan the Cabal did just that, laid out all their weapons and waited for the Krogans to enter and take them by surprise with an onslaught of biotics. Everything went as planned until it was a lone Batarian that stepped into the cramped quarters of their vessel. After getting hit with a quick biotic shock, the lone interloper hit the floor, and immediately activated a short-range distress beacon. Soon, explosions tore through the corvette's lower cargo bay, and the crew jumped into action. They did everything their power but the ship became unstable, and so did the crew. Under new pressures, the six remaining crew members were split between a suicidal crash into the Batarian ship, or a crash landing near a settlement on Tuchanka. Aelus was the deciding vote, and his cowardice took the better of him. Instead of dying for the cause that day, he chose to run. The corvette crashed, and only Aelus survived. Badly wounded, he used all of his strength to activate a beacon before blacking out. When he came to, he was chained up, in only marginally better condition, inside the Krogan camp. Here he was tortured for three weeks, before they finally believed he was not a spy or an assassin. Begrudgingly his life was spared and Aelus made it off Tuchanka. Afraid of being shamed back in the Hierarchy, he fled into hiding, in the only place he knew no one would look for him: Omega. Here he had to apply his skills in the only way he could, as a hired gun, and a good one no less.
