More like the latter. There will be three original worlds and four Disney worlds, and none of them will have previously appeared in Kingdom Hearts. Actually, I wasn't going to reveal this yet, but we're going to be accepting suggestions from the players for what Disney worlds we'll be using!

There are potentially several masters that guide the faction, directly or indirectly, but the story will only focus on one. 

Yes, you're absolutely correct, the "dark" faction is simply a group that is uninterested in being defenders of the cluster and more interested in following a personal agenda. If it fits your character to want to help others, they certainly can, just keep in mind if their [i]main[/i] goal is to help others then they would likely gravitate toward the light faction.
