I don't know if you're using your own canon, and it's totally fine if you are. But, the public Animus is a console, not the kind Desmond uses. And the genetic memories are pre-packaged, so everyone plays as the same characters. Also it's a game made by Abstergo, so the Assassins are portrayed in an extremely negative light, like in [i]Liberation[/i].

Just clarifying I'm not attacking your roleplay or anything and I actually think I might make a character. I just know a little too much about AC is all. Most of this could be explained away I'm sure, like modern day could take place a few years in the future when Abstergo released a full Animus machine for sale, for example.
