Ahh, fair enough. He just seems so... happy and content, which is both uplifting and disheartening at the same time. Joseph wouldn't take any money for the job he's doing. Alexi would have to literally order him to take it, and then he wouldn't spend it. He thinks slavery is morally horrid, but in his mind, he personally is serving a life sentence for his earlier deeds. He's convinced himself very deeply that he doesn't deserve better, even though he thinks other slaves do. Alright, I can skip to that.
