I've always wrote the Winters estate to be somewhere in the north of the city in quite a wealthy (but now mostly abandoned) district that is ground level, almost like a suburb. Kyle's right, Iktomi is about a days walk away from me (or at least his original base was) I dont know if Samuel is anywhere near me because hes had a day or two to leave the area. Just so nobody forgets, ive written that Mathias' gang has taken a portion (albeit only a few roads) of his district and also has ties with a large factory not far from him. Any who have come near so far have made reference too a woodland area near the estate aswell. 

So to clarify:

-The winters estate, factory and forest are all in the North
-In a suburb-like area
-Far from the inner-city, at least a days walk
-Some roads (especiialy between the factory and the estate) are territory
