I see their physical manifestations as more of what they bring themselves together to be, as the things given birth to by the something, they would at the very first be nothing more than, yes, undefined masses of energy, but by the cue set in the initial idea the RP itself would start a little time after that, once they attain a kind of physical form. I do not see this original form as their most common form, but by looking through their eyes you can see in their hearts what form they will come to love most. At this point, all the sheet needs is some base information, the physical appearance their first amorphis shape at first, but as you discover more about your character you can fill in his most prized forms. In other words, for now, the sheet for you will be a little blank, but as we play you will be able to add more it to help me along to seeing just what your guy looks like in his most prized form.

As for consciousnesses, yea, it would be, but I don't see us even being able to call them characters without that. That, sounds kinda narrow I know, but without consciousnesses, there is no thought, and without that, there is no creation. So, yeah, we start the RP after they grow thier metaphorical brains I'd say.
