Sure. Once you have a concept for the character, just PM me and we can work out how to introduce her/him. There are lots of options. I'm starting the PCs in the belly of the beast, Richmond, so your character could be a house slave to the Gentrified class there, a field slave in the surrounding counties, or one of the poor thousands being shipped by rail through Richmond to the industrial factories of the North.
