Yeah I get that but I don't know what corner it is XD
In my eyes the medical office has a door and high windows leading from outside, if your character is behind the corner I would assume he would be outside the room and along the corridor a little so that he could hide there and wait for us to go to sleep, then he would sneak over to the door and probably either just look inside through the small window on the door or attempt to open the door(And failing as it is barricaded up)

Do you see how confused I am now ? XD
It sounds like (From your post) he is in the same room as them but we already established that wasn't the case XD
