There is nothing special about Nakaki, he's just a typical Japanese highschool student who has no time for his life and studies for his obsession on games, he was born and raised by a simple family in Kyoto, Japan as the only son of his parents. The reason why he was obsessed in gaming is because, it is the only place where he can shine, he sucks almost at everything, he lacks physical capability to win in sports and mental capability to top on class. But when it comes to gaming, there's no way he will lose. 

Since the death game began, he was aiming for a goal, not to finish the game, but to be the best.
