The weeks that followed were much better than the past year. He still ate his food cautiously, not wanting to risk starving when a shortage hit. He kept small scraps on the book self, wedged between the books that he couldn't read. There were too many words that he didn't know. He had attempted to read one out of boredom. The end result was a headache and more confusion to why people wasted their time and energy making up weird symbols to put on paper. Prisoners would attempt to talk to him now and again. Asking pointless question like "Why did the prince put you here?" and "Are you a real pirate". To which he had answered to best way he could. "Yes, he put me here to keep an eye and ye' land lovers, n' such that there be no fornicating with ye bedding.". Noble land people who knew nothing outside their own port were sad folk, and it amused him greatly that they had believed him and left him alone to his boredom. He had attempted to braid the dreads that were forming his beard. However, that had been abandoned shortly after getting one of his fingers stuck and having to it out. Now he would just have to waste the day away laying on his bed, feeling whatever little breath could make it in. The next morning he had heard the prince was coming for a visit from the new Keeper he had. A route check up to make sure everything was up to standard. As far as he knew it was. He couldn't complain, other than his utter boredom of course. Theodore was staring at the ceiling when the Prince finally made it to his cell. The opening cell door caught his attention and for a moment he thought he was being released. The door closed again and he gave a sigh and returned to his staring. "Do you give personal visits like this to everyone . Or am I just special?" He said with a smirk. It wasn't like the one Theodore had given the prince weeks prior. It was a happy, sarcastic smirk. "I trust your parents feed and water you daily as well." He added sitting up. "Improved, but not fixed." After his finial comment he stopped talking to give the prince a chance to explain himself.
