Oh Gadrael won't die. He has a far greater role. Not to mention he is incredibly strong. However there are his soldiers, the remaining forsaken kings. You can show your skills and kill up to three of them. 

See eventually when Gadrael gets worn down, he will grab maeve who has been paralysed and take her hostage. Next we will track them down to their base of operations for a rescue.
