I'm... actually not sure what those would look like. I can't see a way for the clothes to get through the manacles. Unless they sort of wrapped around or something? 

Erik is only bound by his wrists though, not his ankles I think. 

I guess I can see that, although nudity might be more economical. :-P Still, I can't see Alexi making this more undignified than he thinks he has to.

Oh, and if you want my characters to stop asking what Alexi is doing, we'll have to bring something else up. Information is sort of all they care about right now. Joseph wants to protect him, and Erik wants to figure out what's going on and escape. Both require information for that. But it does seem a bit repetitive.
