[/quote] You would have had better luck saying "Vibration = Oscillation", however it's not true. Perhaps you should read your own definition of Vibration a little more closely. It is because of the object's equilibrium being disturbed, that makes it vibration rather than Oscillation. The patterns of movement are completely different because of that. One is a controlled movement, and the other is not.
