"It was frozen so it would last longer, we do that to all of our food," Takeshi explained in a matter-of-fact manner. Shu had been eating pre-frozen food for quite some time, this was the first he'd probably ever seen it though. Granted this stuff was pretty thawed out as well, most likely going to be cooked had they not used it for this. Ah man, that probably meant they weren't going to have anything to cook with later. That stunk, now they were going to have to wait even longer to eat. At least it was going to a good cause. Whether or not it was safe to eat in its current state, well that was something else altogether. Viral was kind of a wild animal now, and they didn't cook their food, so Takeshi figured he'd be fine. Then again were he to change back with all that food in his stomach that might cause some problems. Not like they could cook it now anyways. He supposed blasting it may potentially solve that problem, but that also meant potentially blowing a hole in the floor... Viral could deal with uncooked meats. Vegeta knew there was no certainty as to how Viral would act upon being released, but he had to have good faith that the Beastman would go for the food. If not there were four of them prepared to hold him back, so it was a safe bet he wasn't going anywhere. After Yumi had escaped to the door he followed in suit, having to tuck his leg up to avoid being caught by one of Viral's claws. Landing at Shu's side he watched silently as their friend stalked over to the food, thankfully not looking for a fight just yet. They had a few moments to catch their breath and collect their thoughts, hopefully it was long enough to come up with a real plan. "I don't know Shu... I really don't. This transformation is new to me too, I don't know what triggered it nor how to undo it." Vegeta scoffed at his own shortcoming, never pleased to be beaten by anything. If he could just discern the cause then he could remedy it in no time. Right now all he had to go off of was hunger, and that seemed too simplistic to be the case. "So long as he doesn't threaten anyone there's no reason for us to lock him up, so hope he's on his best behavior."
