Dominik was working in his lab. The subject, a human male, was doing quite well in the testing. Of course, he was still in a insane amount of pain. After all, it would be quite painful to have one's arms and legs ripped off and replaced with mechanical units. Logically, Dominik refused to use painkillers on the patients. He viewed them as a pathetic source of escape for the patients. Although the method would result in more casualties, those that survived would be by far superior to the original stock. This experiment was about to prove his point, as the grafting of the mechanical units were all going correctly. However, it then started to go wrong. All the vital and mental statistics started going haywire, the patient was losing control. The man started to spasm uncontrollably, then suddenly stopped. His heart ceased beating and he died. "What a waste" Dominik said, powering down all the electronics. "Subject 241 - failure" He said out loud as he wrote it down in his journal. He would have to find another subject to use for his experiments. Of course, he wouldn't have to do such mundane chores if he had the funding to hire other scientists. This search would take up a serious amount of time, time he could spend on experimentation.
