Jameson could smell the Demon blood on Hotaru. He was most likely the only being that would not judge her for it however. He took her staff without a word, simply a nod that became a smile as he watched her console the young one. "Perhaps it would be best for me too leave him with you then." He suggested as he returned her staff too her. The boy is in need of a mother figure, a role not suited for an outcast like me." He pulled his hat to his heart, revealing his silky and flowing brown hair. "I ask you too keep an eye on this boy for me, his parents.." Jameson trailed of, hoping she would understand his meaning. " I know it is unfair to ask, but I... am not fit to be a parent.." He turned away slightly as he said this, almost as if he was ashamed by something. Jameson was about to look up to see if she was accepting his proposal when Cassandra's sweet voice filled his empty ears. He turned to her. "Aah, tis but a gentlemanly thing to do my dear. Righteous folk such as yourself do not deserve the fate of that particular dungeon. May the poor souls who find themselves within find it in their hearts to move on.." He shook his head in disgust. "That their is one of the most abhorred places in the land." He looked her up and down for a moment and then nodded in approval. "You seem to have grown into quite the fine young lady, whoever your future suitor may be, he will be a lucky man." He chuckled to himself and turned once again to Hotaru. "I only ask you keep him safe until I can locate a more permanent residence for the boy." He spoke in a hushed tone, so not to alert the boy to their conversation. He had left their side and begun fawning over an elf who had just finished saying she would try and get them all into the city. He wondered on how much leverage she would truly be able to force on the Elven Government. "It is completely alright if you cannot do so, but if you could.." He looked to the boy with intensely caring eyes. ".. I would be forever grateful." All the while he was mulling over the promise of the elf, whom he would soon learn was named Nova. Would she truly be able to convince her people to go against their way of life? He was not in a position to doubt her, but he would keep his offer open and travel with the group none the less. A plan B. never hurt anyone after all.
