Gonna have to ruin the parade for you thrrnvwls and say that light is not an applicable power. 

1. Being able to absorb and heal in any light is kind of ridiculously over powered.
2. Light is not actually matter. [url=http://scienceline.ucsb.edu/getkey.php?key=512]Here's a link that explains how light isn't matter[/url]. Essentially it says that light is a form of energy, and that it has no actual mass and therefore can't be defined as matter.

And before you say that neon light was in the game, neon within the infamous series is actually plasma in form (the technical fourth state of matter) and therefore has actual mass and can be manipulated.

So sorry, but light is a no go.
