Andre was already waiting for first hour, his headphones on, playing music. He sang quietly along: "We're running with the shadows of the night, so, baby, take my hand, it'll be all right..."
His teacher, Mrs. Cihak, tapped him on the shoulder, and he paused the music, adjusting his glasses.
"Andre, they want you down at the office," she informed him. Andre nodded.
"In trouble already and school hasn't even started," he muttered lightheartedly.
"Didn't seem that way," said Mrs. Cihak.
"Well, it's usually because of something I did." He put his headphones back on and headed to the main office. Unbeknownst to him, the PA system announced, "Samantha Harper, please report to the office. Samantha Harper, please report to the office. Thank you."
