Aeliana clutched the rusty, sweat-drenched coin in the palm of her hand as the shuttle took off. The spacecraft gave a modest shake; it was more of a tremble, really. Aeliana had expected a much more dramatic take off. There wasn't even a countdown, gosh. She shook her head in disappointment and weakened the grip she had on her coin. She could start a conversation with the other inmates, but nobody seemed to be interested. The ones that were interested in speaking already had their little partners to talk to. So, with nothing else to do, Aeliana did what she did best. She took the coin in between two fingers, mumbled something under her breath, and flicked the coin upwards. “What?” Aeliana hollered with a look of bewildered amusement. Her eyes seemed to sparkle as a result of her new discovery. “Holy shit, it’s floating!” The coin she had tossed upward, instead of quickly rising and falling, it seemed to have been taking it’s sweet time. It was still on it’s way up, entirely out of Aeliana’s reach. “So does that mean....” Aeliana pondered out loud, her eyes scanning the room before she initiated her next plan. All in one swooping motion, Aeliana unbuckled her seat belt and she felt as her body slowly ascended and broke all contact with her seat. She extended her arm towards the coin, and took a hold of it, but instead of returning to her seat, she continued to float around instead. Aeliana had random fits of giggles as she twirled and ‘flew’ to her heart’s content.
