You hit the ground and you wait, letting the toxic air fill your lungs as you try to regain your breath. You can smell your body, and you grimace as the smell of scorched skin fills your nose. You finally manage to regain your breath and push your body up painfully from the ground. As you stand you realize something is wrong, you can't balance and feel like you're about to fall over. You reach behind you, looking for the comforting feel of your wings. They're gone and nothing is left but smooth skin. You feel empty and it only takes you a moment to realize that is because you have left God's presence. You are a fallen angel. You stumble forward, looking for somewhere to go and feeling pain throughout your entire body. God has turned his back on you and you are now alone in the world. But that's what you get for causing trouble in heaven. God doesn't like troublemakers. You reach a small group of trees and stumble inside, not looking back. You know you have to find shelter and you know it's going to be hard from now on, but you got what you wanted. You are now free. You can do whatever you want and God can't control you. He promised not to interfere with the mortals, and you are now mortal. You have to find somewhere to sleep. You find a bed of moss in darkness, your body still radiating light. You wonder how long it will take for that light to fade completely, because then you will be truly mortal and unable to return to heaven. You wish the light would die now, you never want to go back. As you lie on your back, looking up at the stars you know you are forever grounded. Your wings are gone and you will never fly again. You are the lowest of the low, probably even lower than demons in God's eyes because you betrayed him. You don't have to worry about that anymore. His voice cannot find you here. Found Someone sees a shot of light outside their window. A falling star, they think. They decide to go find it. They run through the darkness, stumbling every third step, knowing they have to get there fast or they'll forget where it is. That's not hard though because all of the trees in the surrounding area are scorched. Not burning, just burned. They look around and see a light in the trees off to the side. They decide to go see what it is. Running, stumbling toward the light. They reach the trees and tread slowly now, scared, confused as to what could be shining. They get closer and you realize it is a woman. Standing over the woman they look, examining her clothing. She wears a simple shirt and trousers. Both appear to be made out of some sort of woven material. It is tattered and there are burn marks all over it. They look to the woman's face and are captured by her brilliance. They have never seen a face so beautiful before. It is difficult for them to look away. They notice the long white hair surrounding the face, it appears unnatural around the pale skin and they wonder who this woman could possibly be. There are wounds covering the woman's arms and legs. She looks like she has been beaten and cast aside. The person slowly reaches out to touch the man's shoulder. She grabs their arm, scaring them. As she realizes it is only a mere mortal she releases. The person steps back afraid. "I'm sorry." The woman says. The voice is like music and yet harsh at the same time, as though she has a cold. Her eyes pierce to the soul, a clear blue that can be seen even in the night. The person cannot look away. You look at this mortal, realizing they have found you and are afraid. You try to reassure them, to calm them, but they are stunned by your gaze, and you remember you are not an angel, but only a mortal with an angel's face. You try to explain but cannot and they run. Stupid humans. If only they realized who you were. If only they realized what you could do... but you cannot do anything more than them, for you are mortal now. You keep forgetting. You try to get back to sleep, but you cannot help seeing the fear in the human's face. You start to wonder if you made a mistake. You cannot live here, you are not one of them. Starting at dawn you are going to redeem yourself, make things right with God. You know it's going to be a long tough process but you are sure you can do it before your glow fades and you are stuck here forever.
▌│█║▌║▌║ ȼąρţµя€ď ║▌║▌║█│▌ It hurt...so much pain. He lied...why did she follow him again. Oh that right he said he knew where they were, the others but he lied why does everyone lie to her. What had she done to deserve this? "I really have no idea how to sever these things?" He was talking again or maybe she was dreaming this, whatever she was on she could disperser dream from reality anymore. When she didn't answer the stabbing pain struck her back hard and heavily tearing a bloodcurdling scream from her ragged throat. It hurt so badly, tears sprung from her eyes. "If I could just figure out how to cut these off then it would be much easier to kill you birds." Sylar stood off to the side, spinning the point of a blood knife on the tip of his finger. The little bird he had found has last far longer then the others he played with, he was quite happy about it. Although the screaming was giving him headaches, perhaps he'd cut out her tongue she didn't really need it. The wings he wanted them cut off, he had ripped into her back with some interesting tools on his set but as normal like all the others he couldn't cut them from her back. They seemed to be attached to the her spinal cord, he hacked and sawed but his blades wouldn't sever the link and he was becoming bored. The pretty black dress his little bird had been wearing was soaked and stained red with her blood a suiting color for all of his toys. "Have fun little bird, well trying again later." He muttered as he left her in the dark room chained to the wall in splashes and gory pools of blood. ๑۞๑,¸¸,ø¤º°`°๑۩ єѕ¢αρє? ๑۩ ,¸¸,ø¤º°`°๑۞๑ Chink Chink Chink They could of sounded like bells at first at least to a humans ears. Her chains rattle uncontrollably as her body shook in wild spasms. This was too much for her, this agony was not something she would even wish upon her darkest of enemies. She tired to raise her arm but found she had little strength to even that. It took what seemed to be an eternity before she was able even set her arm in her lap. The chains shook with her movement. She focused her eyes on the large circular latch that had rubbed her wrist raw...the blood perhaps if she...pop. Her wrist slip free, the red liquid had been enough slippery she could slide her small wrist through. She pulled the other wrist free with a bit of more difficult then the first but got it free as well after a moment. The blood that had seeped into the ground...there was so much she should of been dead had she been human but she was not she was...a thing but not human. It was being this thing that allowed her to see so clearly in the darken room. It was being this thing that allowed her to get to her feet. It was being this thing that kept her from letting a scream tear through her throat and out her mouth from the pain in her back. She didn't dare look behind her, she knew without a doubt that her wings hung uselessly at her back. Would she ever be able to fly again...that wasn't a question that needed to be answered right now. Her white and.wings left a trail of crimson in their path as she made her way to door. If she hadn't been so hopeful she would of realized that an unlocked door and an empty hall was to easy an escape route. She would of known that he was just playing a game with her. A cry that almost rips her vocal chords apart echoed around the hallway. "Does that hurt?" Sylar asked giving her right wing another hard yank, tearing feathers from it. "It was fun seeing that look of freedom in your eyes but I'm not quite done with you yet." Sylar told her and simply dragged her backwards, using her wing, into the room. "Staying put this time would be wise." He threw her back into the room but did not chain her nor did he lock the door as he left. He wanted to see just how much psychological damage this girl could go through before she snapped, having the door of freedom open just like that yet being unable to obtain it was going to be interesting to see. o0×X×0o. ⓝⓞⓦ .o0×X×0o. It felt as if something were clogged in the center of the chest, a small ball or something it made every little breath a overbearing task. The soft rattle of chains tapped lightly on the ground as the small form of what seemed to a woman moved against the ground. The floor was cold but unusually clean it smelt like some sort of human made chemical. It made her stomach churn and twist into a tight knot. A second breath was drawn into chapped parted lips the cool air did little for the pain pulsing through her body with every beat if her heart. The woman who laid there curled up so tightly into a ball would be consider human by mere appearance. Thick silk like hair trailed down her slender back it looked like a waterfall of white snow or clouds. She was rather tiny in size much more like a doll than a mere human being her beauty would attract more eyes than a model if freed from her wrongful imprisonment. There was little light in this dark room the onły rays of the moon that shine through was from the small window on her left, her skin shone a fair pale completion and her eyes were shut as if sleeping. The woman had long ago lost track of time how long had these humans been poking and probing her skin with their wretched needles and knives...she was pulled out of her disturbing thoughts as she heard the question, the heartbeat, and the steps? The woman tugged gently at the chain tethered to her hands and ankles in an attempt to rise but her body would not do her bidding, everything hurt. ★·.·´¯`·.·★ ÏȚ ÏŚ ŸÖŮŖ ȚÏMË ȚÖ ŖÏŚË ★·.·´¯`·.·★ The time is 2015 and the humans have figured out that there are immortals living amount them particularly demons.
