EAT (Especially Advantaged Talent) are the students like Maka and Soul and Black Star.

NOT (Normally Overcome Target) students are students that are just here to learn to be meisters or to handle their weapon powers. They don't go out and fight because they're not ready. Many weapons are here just because they want to live normally.
