Arla followed Cor, protecting him from anything that might crop up but most of what happened was well beyond her. When the strange woman stopped them Arla could have taken her down easily. Only the look of recognition in Cor's eyes stayed her from lashing out. During the rather brief conversation Arla had to wonder if she was entirely invisible. 

Then, Cor simply pulled out his light stick and shot her. The woman, Jennay, was entirely useless. The woman had Cor dead in her clutches and nobody was that slow. Then Cor had the audacity to think that he'd freed himself. The girl had clearly let him go. Nobody hesitated that long. 

Following Cor, still acting as his bodyguard, Arla made her way up the ramp and then found she had no clue what to do. She had no idea how to use any of these strange devices. There were a hundred blinking lights all over and she couldn't tell the difference between the switch that turned on the lights and those that would blow them all out into outer space.
