Chloe let out a yawn after Isabella had left, stretching out her arms before she looked back down at Josef. He didn’t look like as much of a corpse any more. Although still rather pale, he wasn’t as white as he had been during the surgery and that made her feel better. She may have been wrong about it and may have just been blinded by hope but that was all she had left. She let out a sigh and slowly put her hand down on his shoulder, like he had done before. Now that there was no one around to see, she felt comfortable doing something like that, especially with Josef out cold. As she began to hear voices and footsteps coming closer she pulled her hand away and put them in her lap instead. She smiled as Isabella entered the room with an older woman. She took the glass and carefully sipped on it, licking her lips at the sweet taste. The woman said something to her, but she wasn’t quite sure what it meant so she simply smiled and nodded to her as it seemed friendly enough. Very quickly her concentration went back to her drink. She was so thirsty she wanted to slam it down but instead took careful sips, savouring the taste. Chloe smiled a bit at her and nodded to her question. “I’m starving.” She said, “I can’t wait to actually eat some real food.” She would have helped but was afraid that she would just get in the way, and she didn’t want to take her eyes off of Josef. After she left, Chloe let out another sigh and took a sip of her juice. “Josef..” She mumbled softly. She wanted to be reassured by someone that everything would be okay.
