Yeah, I've jumped in and out of IRC quite a few times ever since NewGuild has been up. IRC has it's own unique personality just as spam does (although a very type of personality) and if you are not a familiar face in that group as well as having the same like mindedness as IRC (and spam in that case), fitting in can be difficult. It shouldn't be that way but sadly it is.
