Tried a character like this pre-guildfall, let's hope this RP does better.

Abilities: The chain in her Manriki form has no definite length, extending and contracting at will. Additionally, she can transfer a part of her soul wavelength into any object that touches the sharpened weight, letting her cling to it or manipulating it from a distance, usually with explosive results.

Brief Personality: Tough and strong willed, Melody doesn't let anybody boss her around. She tends to be a bit vain, especially about her hair, but her mind is keen and her skills are sharp.
Background: Melody spent her life in the lower part of Death City, scraping out a living by stealing from the various lowlifes that infested the area. She always thought of herself as a hero, stealing from the people who stole from the weak. It was only recently that she decided she wanted more out of life, and found herself signing up for the Academy.
