“Manakete” Neo whispered to himself as he heard the wings appraoched. “No... armor clinking and braying... growling... Pegasi and Wyverns.” he deduced, flying from the table he sat at. Running up the stairs he found Trin partially in the hallway and in a room that wasn't theirs. As he approached her a young lady came darting out of the room and Trin pressed herself against the wall to be out of their way. “Trin! Fliers! We need to get going to the stables now!” he said, grabbing her arm and making their way back down the stairs as a man with a sword came storming by. Following his way out Neo and Trin made their way quickly toward the stables to see a horrifying site. One mage was working together a fire spell, Elfire it looked to be, and was hurling the spell onto the stables. Brash tactics. Destroy was little supplies whoever they were chasing had and cut off any quick escapes. Smart. And idiotic. “Father, the Shepards, they need us!” It didn't take long for Neo to figure out who she meant. And at worst, a few good distractions could save him, Leon and Trin. “Trin, take up Elwind and keep fliers away.” He commanded, reaching into his own cloak and pulling out a thunder tome. With his grip tightly on the book he said the words he summoned the magic from his fingers, pointing his index and middle finger forward and using his thumb as a guide, aiming at the mages arm to injure, not kill. The mage was blasted onto his side by the lightning and laid on the ground convulsing for a moment. Running at the mage quickly Neo delivered a kick to the back of his head, knocking him out for the remainder of the fight hopefully. As he did so a calvalier seemed to join the fight, running into the battle headlong at the Pegasi. Unfortunately, the spell had already begun taking his toll on the stables, flames building up high. Lighning, Fire, Wind will all just cause more damage... Using the thunder tome again with an open palm Neo used blunt force to knock down the stable doors. Inside he found a man who took care of the animals. “Sir, release any of the steeds into the main building for now. They can be used for a quick escape then, but this stable is going to come down and you will all die with it!” he shouted to him as he moved towards Gia and Talvin, letting them lose before anything permanent happened. --- Leon readied his arcfire when the man with lances walked by, assuming he meant to attack him. As he walked passed, however, Leon tuned into his senses and realized what was going on. Dashing outside he found Neo riding out of the burning building with both steeds as Trin, against the wall of the inn so she couldn't be surrounded, cast some of her wind magic to keep some of the pegasi at bay. And then there were the other random defenders of the inn. A drunken wyvern rider it seemed, a swordsman, an archer, and cavalier from before that he assumed was going to stab him. “....interesting.” he said in a happy tone. Leon was always up for a good skirmish. Near thirty against less than ten? Perfect odds. Running up to Talvin and quickly jumping on his back Leon nodded to his brother, leaned over into the saddlebags and picked up Bolganone. At the same time as he went towards Trin, Neo could be seen finding his way towards the drunken wyvern rider, assuming she would need help at some point. “Trin! Up here!” he said, riding by his niece and holding out an arm for her. She quickly took it and join him in the saddle, flinging an Elwind blast with the open palm, blunt force technique. Putting the tomes under his shirt Leon allowed his to have contact with the book. Holding out a hand like it had a ball in it, a large flame formed in it, slowly growing from redish orange to a bright blue. “Only target the riders! Leave the steeds unharmed!” Neo could be heard yelling from behind to the other fighters. As if to show what he meant, a long bolt of lightning found its way into a flying pegasus knight dropping her to the ground and, most likely, killing her. The pegasus remained unharmed besides a few minor shocks. With a loud sigh of annoyance, Leon threw the Arcfire to a wyvern knight and ignited the armor. Trying to fan off the flames, eventually the wyvern knocked the rider off his back, apparently tired of being burned. Drawing his armorslayer, Leon galloped by the wyvern rider as he stood, and took the head off. Happy brother? I've no idea what you're planning, but lets see how it goes... --- Trin tried to concentrate on her defending and attacking, but soon she saw the injured swordsman from before in the middle of the action. Zaino, she thought his name was. He seemed to be succombing to more of his injuries, which wouldn't be good where he was. Looking back over her should, Trin saw that her father was currently mounting an attack on the rightmost portion of the battalion. With a sigh at the idiocy of her idea, she allowed herself to fall off of Talvins back on a high jump, letting her land with less grace than she would have liked. Reaching toward her iron sword, she used it to steady herself as she ran toward Zaino. With her free hand she cast another Elwind towards the Pegasus in front of Zaino, hoping to deter them for a moment. Her approach became slow as she was only a few feet from him, her sword pointing at the pegasi. I wish I knew how to use axes... it would be a nice advantage right now. Then again, magic at least keeps me at a distance For now though, she had a difficult decision to make. She kept her soothing sword attached at all times. Whatever her ailment with walking for long periods was, it kept it in check during most confrontations. She should be fine without it for a short while, but would the roguish man give the sword back? “Zaino, take the sword that’s on my back. It's a soothing sword. It has properties that will heal wounds during the course of a battle whether you wear it or fight with it.” Another Pegasus Knight tried to throw a javelin in their direction, but Trin used her Cecilia's Gale and produced two large, blade sharp blasts of air that flew both into the javelin and the rider, knocking them aside. A small, greenish wind encircled her hand, readying for another assault.
