Jim chewed on the request for a moment. It did explain why he found the poor man pick-pocket the stranger. Captain Hawkins can most definitely afford to pay for this man's mother, and he seemed to be desperate if he was stealing to survive. It wouldn't just be charity, it would benefit the them all with one more to the party, in this fight against evil. Who knew what this man was capable, but Jim could sense he would be a valuable ally, indeed.

[b]"What next we are going to have to pay for his college fund?"[/b] Flinch smacked his wing full of bright feathers against his face. 

[b]"Agreed. I can provide your mother with a shelter. I am a wealthy man who can afford to pay for her needs if that means you join us. So what say you, will you join us?"[/b] Hawkins offered his hand to the man.
