Originally from Ostravos, Mr. Völland is the founder and owner of the Völland group. Initially in investment company Christopher has found himself buying almost exclusively into the mining business, more specifically the mining of the crystals used to power solar conductor engines, something abundant on Ostravos that he could sell almost everywhere. He has other smaller investments but most are undisclosed for various reasons. 
Seeing oncoming events Christopher now finds himself on Clarendon and seeks to buy as much land as he can on the continent being that is has the best conditions for food, a market essential and incredibly profitable if developed correctly. 

Known for being somewhat of a brute Völland has seen fit to hire his own enforcers whom are tasked with anything from illegal betting to land acquisition. He has a select few bodyguards as there are few men he truly trusts.
