Known Relatives: Her parents are Ulfred and Lorna Nicolai Weine, a wealthy couple from new money living in Fallcrest. Her father made his fortune in a combination of good investments and old-fashioned hard work. Now, their family is comfortably upper class, though still tends to live more modestly than many with similar incomes. 

Marty is the third of seven children. She has an older brother, Maxwell who is a businessman of some import. Her older sister Harriet is a mother with two young children. Two of her younger brothers—Tom and George—are involved with the military. Finally, her two youngest siblings—Eugene and Agnes—are still attending school and thus live with their parents. 

Criminal Record: Although she’s never been formally charged with any crimes, Marty was quite the hellion growing up. She got caught breaking and entering into abandoned buildings several times, though her father’s influence was always enough to get her out of it.

Skillset: Given her chosen profession, Marty has a great deal of knowledge about the history (recent and ancient) of the world of Adam. She is well-traveled and able to interact with many different peoples. She also knows architecture quite well, specifically the layout and purpose of most buildings as well as points of vulnerability. After having several brushes with the law in her youth, she became an adept lock pick. She is also fairly agile and can climb and maneuver her way though relatively difficult terrain with some ease.

Her chosen career is often dangerous, so she has had to be able to defend herself. Marty has trained extensively with a firearm. She’s quite a good shot, though her revolver is extremely old-fashioned and out of date.

Known Ties to Organizations/Other: Marty has been employed by a somewhat shadowy and secretive organization for several archaeological expeditions across several nations and in Altos itself. There have been rumors of her employer’s involvement with the Curators or the Explorer’s Guild, but Marty is skeptical of these claims given that there has been little produced from her excavations that would seem to be of interest to anyone except scholars.

Extra Information: Marty typically rides a motorcycle when not on a long field expedition. She can be somewhat reckless with it, and loves to drive fast. As befitting an archaeologist, she is also a great lover of spirits and can hold her liquor better than most would expect.

She found a dog several years ago while on a dig near Clearmist. He is a medium-sized mutt named Fritz who often accompanies her on her travels.
