Personally, I'm thinking Walter from Hellsing Ultimate. The idea of such a deadly trap is cool. I could however argue that the molecular (cuz it's a string of silicon atoms) bonds between said atoms would break before they "cut" between the molecules (inter molecular bonds) of other objects... not to mention the question of the relative size of the silicon atoms compared to say... titanium atoms... maybe you should have used some kinda lasers, but anyway... cool trap.
