Jane was not sure how long she had been running. Time seemed to have evaporated during her sprint. Finally, she paused, and let large, exasperated breaths fall out of her mouth. Her cheeks ere flushed from running, and there was dirt smeared on her face--from when the giant bear had attacked her. She felt like falling over, but was not sure if she would be able to get up if another creature came to attack her. She turned around, finally. [i]The coast is clear[/i]. She smiled to herself--only momentarily--her smile, interrupted by a tiny female voice. "I don't know if this will work."--Jane could not quite make out what the voice had said.
