Chloe smiled when Isabella took her plate. “They were delicious. Thank you Isabella.” She nodded and watched as the girl left, passing by Nathan rather close which made her raise her eyebrow. She quickly shook her head and brought her attention back to Nathan, watching him closely as he came and sat at the foot of Josef’s bed. She really hoped that that he wasn’t sitting on Josef, but she figured if Nathan had been he would have quickly moved. It seemed as though he intended on talking to her since he had made himself comfortable and she wasn’t sure how she felt about that. “My story?” She shrugged. “I came out of my motel room to look for food and ran into your friends when we were trying to scavenge from the same store. Long story short we got into some trouble, found the doctor, got into some more trouble, Josef lost his arm and now we’re here.” She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back in the chair. “You’re going to have to be more specific if you expected something else.” She hadn’t given her full story to Joan or Josef, so she was hesitant to share such a story with a total stranger.
