Powers: Empathy is her only non-human power. She can absorb, exude, and influence other people's emotions. Her other skills include sambo and some mixed martial arts, as well as the skilled use of a pair of kukri.
Weaknesses: She is human, with all the squishy weaknesses that implies. Her empathy doesn't stop working, and she has to concentrate to a certain degree to keep from being mentally overwhelmed by large crowds. She has to make skin contact with someone to truly direct her powers- otherwise they will come out like a cloud, with her at the center.

BRIEF Bio: Devika was adopted as a baby by her two lawyer parents. Her empathy was discovered early in her childhood, and started learning to control her power from the time she was five. Her parents instilled her a strong sense of right and wrong. When she went to college, she discovered plenty of free time as her studies were fairly easy. The state of the city was like a rotting tooth. It looked fine, even shiny on the outside, but underneath it was just getting more disgusting. She took it upon herself to do something, going to all sorts of martial arts courses.
Devika, as the hero Kumari, started cleaning up the Miami streets, gaining strength, fame, and enemies. After graduation, she left for Astro City, as Miami had quieted during her time as Kumari.

Notes: Devika's suit has Kevlar weave and blade tangling mesh beneath lightweight armor plating. Her mask has perscription lenses set into it so things aren't blurry on the battlefield.
