[b]Drop Bear[/b] - seemingly teleports, reappears above his victim, dropping on top of them and devouring them - looks something like this:

BRIEF Bio: Finn was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, to his soldier father and farmer mother. As he grew, he helped his mother around the outback farm, and barely saw anything of his father, as he was frequently away serving the ADF. After graduating from high school, Finn did a brief two year stint in the army, where he learned to fight and think on his feet. While doing a bushwalk during a training exercise, he stumbled and fell into a pool of quicksand, which, unbeknownst to him, had been cursed by the aborigines that had previously owned the land. Successfully getting himself out of the quicksand, Finn discovered that he had gained the power to manipulate and generate scorching hot sand. Deciding to leave the army, Finn had a suit tailored and he soon made himself known as the superhero... Sandstorm.
Notes: 
- His rebellious nature caused him to get into a bit of trouble in the army, much to the disappointment of his father. This strained relationship, along with his newfound superhero career, eventually caused Finn to leave for Astro City. He soon found, however, that his enemy, Drop Bear, followed him there, and that another villain, Oceanmaster, who would prove to be quite possibly his arch-nemesis, was awaiting his arrival
- Has experience in mixed martial arts and self defence due to his time in the ADF, and can therefore hold his own in a fight quite well
