Lukas Dvorak? Get the fuck out my way, that surname is by no means Polish! :D This is a Pole. Also, Lukas could be in Jan's unit. Name: Janusz "Jan" Otrempski Age: 27 Description: Janusz is about 6"2, and seems aptly built for a role in the Polish Airborne infantry. He has blue eyes and black shaved hair, as well as a stern moustache and beard, the beard being somewhat trimmed to a significant stubble, while the Moustache is as Pomeranian as it gets. He can usually be seen wearing the dark grey "Moro" camoflage that the Airborne have been recently issued with, and he can be often seen wearing a Green beret as well as his carrier harness for ammunition and the RPG-72. Background: Born in Gdansk, Poland in January 1956, Janusz Otrempski was born to a soldiering father, Zbyszek, who fought in the Russian-supported Berling Army in the Second World War, and a teacher, Anna, for a mother, bringing Janusz up as Zbyszek tried to adjust to life working in the shipyards of Gdansk. Janusz envied his father's military service, and wished to follow in his footsteps, and following his conscription in the Polish Navy, he requested a transfer into the Airborne, following exemplary service aboard a "Krogulec"-Class minesweeper operating in joint-operations with the Soviets in the Baltic. Suprisingly, this was accepted, and he was moved to Krakow with the 6th Airborne Brigade, being trained and eventually moved up to Eastern Germany in 1982. He has recently received a promotion to Sierżant, and has been assigned as a squad leader of a large squad of airborne infantry- himself and his men being well trained for operations of rapid advancement. While ambitious, he knows his ground, and that himself and his men are going to need more than just steel to win a war- and that they are merely a small cog in a large machine. He isn't entirely a supporter of any political ideology that Poland is under- he just wants to do his job for his country, be it Socialist, a People's Republic or as everyone in the Western world labels, Communist. He's just there to do a job, and that's stop the west from making gains where it should not. Hammer is a rapid-deployment Airborne Unit that works ahead of many other land-based units. They are thrown in as the first to fight once special forces have dealt with the majority of Anti-Aircraft, and are expected to seize targets that regular land-based units may not be fast enough to take. Though weak in number, the two gunships support the unit when required, and give it a force multiplier in carrying out operations, though the whole unit cannot survive without reinforcement or they will be forced to cede whatever ground they have gained. They are shock troops to say the least, but without the groundpounders to back that up, they won't last long. Role: Squad Leader Equipment: wz. AKMS, Assault Rifle (Folding Metal Stock, 7.62x39mm RPG-76 "Komar" (Mosquito) Single-Shot AT Launcher Makarov PM Pistol Rank: Sierżant (Sergeant) Misc. -Speaks Polish, Kashubian (welcome to niche), German and poor English. -Is into Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, despite it being "Western"- though most would agree in his unit that compared to some Polish music, it is far better. -Trained in parachute insertions and urban combat, along with the rest of his team- though it takes a different style than most Western methods. (Also, some, but not all of these names are meant to have an L with a line through it to make a "W" sort of sound, so you try pronouncing them like they are there...you're going to have a bad time.)
