the outright easiest thing to do for the RP as a whole would probably be just to have him escape and leave, chalk the whole thing up to early-on weirdness I guess, since it would necessitate no change and wrap things up, at least. then you could either outright scrap the character, re-purpose him as a villain or try and have him figure out a better way to join the Titans.

It necessitates no changes, wraps up the scene for people it might be giving issues to, and gives you time to plan what to do next.
