In Fall of Cybertron, Shockwave managed to build a one-way Space Bridge to earth. I believe other continuities call it a transwarp drive. Which, so I've read, can be mounted on ships. But, the Nemesis never had one of those..But, you know, hopefully someone will trade some supplies for FTL tech.

I was not aware of that. I've never watched Battlestar Galactica. The Decepticons could probably do their deception thing and get away with it, at least for awhile. Perhaps they're organic giants who require mechanized suits to survive? I dunno. I'll try to think of something. Inter-ship drama makes for a good story anyway.
