Saito nodded as he took the other two books back, letting Lucian have the one that had the most degrading of insults in its title of the two that were technically Skill Books. "Alright, ill keep them around, but I can't make any promises if someone else comes to buy them. Still, they probably won't, so you're in luck there." Unfortunately for Lucian, the button yielded negative results. Something appeared, just not what Lucian would probably hope for. It was a red window with black text, reading as such.
You do not meet the requirements for learning this Skill. The requirements are: --Knowledge Rank 11. --Wisdom 18 --Vitality 10
Unfortunately Lucian couldn't meet the requirements for learning this interesting Skill, but in just two Levels he could learn it once he met the proper requirements. He could either hang onto it and learn from it in two levels if he was willing to wait for two more level ups or see if he could learn from the other book right now if he wanted something immdiately, but that would mean he would have to wait even longer for this one since who knows how long it could take until he had enough to buy the current book he had off of Saito. Ren, in the meantime, had examined his first book. He pressed a button and again in a yellow glow it vanished in the same effect it had before, meaning learning from books in public probably wasn't smart, especially since the book completely vanished. Ren looked at the new window, eyes widened at what he saw. "Talents." He quickly said this, opening up his Talent window. He seemed to look over, eyes widened in surprise. "T-That wasn't just a Skill Book...I...I learned a completely new Talent from that..." Ren's voice cracked a little and the chilled tone wasn't there. It sounded... softer, with a bit more excitement in it, which was understandable as he had just discovered something big. Saito raised his eyebrow at this. "A new Talent? What are Talents?" Ren turned to him, blushing a little as he cleared his throat, regaining his cool composure. "W-Well... Talents are like... ordinary skills that most people have like Climbing, Crafting, Knowledge, Melee Weaponry, and other things. Abilities that just come as more instinctual skill sets rather than individual Skills, spells, or techniques. Well..." He turned to Lucian. "It seems like we can unlock new Talents as well, gaining a whole new realm of possibilities...like when I learned Black Magic just now it wasn't just a Skill, but a whole new Talent..." Saito interjected here. "It really is true... you're power has unlimited potential and you can learn shit that takes people years to learn just like that... your power is freaking unbelievable...Still, I recommend keeping this a secret. If people find out just how much unlimited potential your ability has, you won't be seeing small fry after you. Some will try to employ you yes, but others may try to capture you to make you a slave so that you are forced to use your abilities for them..." Saito then turned to Lucian. "What about you? You get anything special from that book with your... power or whatever?" In the meantime Ren sent out a PM to the other Gamers that weren't in Saito's shop with him, so that meant everyone else excluding Lucian. It read as thus.
From: Ren Hitori I have discovered that it is possible to learn new Talents as well, giving access to who knows how many more possibilities and abilities for the Gamer Power. Keep your eyes peeled for any suspicious looking or cool books. You can tell a book is a Skill Book the moment you touch it. While yes they could give you a new Skill, they could also give you a new Talent as well. Just don't use a Skill Book in public... as the book vanishes in a rather conspicuous way when you use it.
It was a rather long PM, but held a great revelation about the Gamer Power, including that it really was and is the power that just keeps on opening new possibilities. After all new Skills were one thing, but new Talents gave a lot more possibilities on brand new abilities.
