Arlene glanced at Lily; frankly she was grateful. "I think everything's under control," she said. "If anything..." She took a 10 out of her wallet and handed it over. "Can you get me a sandwich or something? Anything's fine. Haven't eaten all day." She helped James up and said the address of the pharmacist. "Thank you again." It didn't really feel right telling people to get her food, but she [i]had[/i] supplied the money, and as far as she was concerned, that made it socially acceptable.
