Hey, all! I'm on the lookout for a few new casual-advanced RPs, and was hoping that some of you lovely people may be interested! The following are a few ideas that I had in mind. Feel free to message me or post here if you'd like to do one, if you'd like some more information on any, or if you have an idea of your own that you'd like to do with me. 1. Sci-fi, Action, Dystopian Note: Character genders were assigned just for the sake of explanation; I'd be happy to play either role. This could also be a FxF or MxM, or even a small group RP. There is no more pain. No more poverty. Nobody goes hungry, no child goes without proper education, and the only way that a good, law-abiding citizen dies is old and comfortable in their bed. Or so they would have you believe. In New Haven, supposedly the last human city after WWIII ended with the launching of five nuclear missiles several times those that bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a huge metropolis more than a mile above the Earth's decimated and unlivable surface, corruption is rampant, and not all is as it appears. But citizen B-8436111205 -referred to by friends and family with his given name, but to the government only by this number- neither knew nor cared of this corruption at our story's start. He was twelve, living a comfortable life in the city's inner ring. Though not surrounded by the decadence of the inner circle where A-citizens lived, he wanted for nothing. Until the day his life changed forever. Until the day he got wrapped up with a young fugitive girl. He helped nurse her mysterious wounds and tried to hide her from her pursuers. When they were discovered, the girl was dragged away, and he was sure that he'd never see her again. For his trouble, he and his immediate family were demoted to C-citizens; a class of menial workers who live in cramped homes in the outer ring of the city. That might have been the end of it. He might have been better off if it had. But at age seventeen, they met again; at a party, of all places. Some new friends had dragged him to an A-citizen masquerade party, to which they may or may not have actually been invited to. In a blacklit room with pulsing music, he saw her. They exchanged a few words, and he followed her outside. Moments after, the high rise building came crashing down. Their third encounter, where things really pick up, happened five years later. One late night, on his way home from work, he was nearly arrested by a mysterious group. He ran, and ran, but eventually came to the huge peak that separated the inner and outer circle. And, when gunshots rang out, he jumped. (Or fell.) He thought for sure that he was going to die. But he thought wrong. The mysterious girl, more a woman now, finally returned the favor, but this time, he can't go home again. Whether he likes it or not, he's bound to this practical stranger and her mission; bring New Haven toppling down. 2. Slice-of-Life, Romance, Comedy, Supernatural Note: I'd prefer to play the vampire, and for it to be either a FxM or FxF. Inspired by the anime Karin (Chibi Vampire). Moving is hard, especially for teenagers, and especially when you're moving to a small town where everybody seems to know everybody. North Hillshire High's newest student is the talk of the school, if only because of his newness. Whether he loves the attention or loathes it, it's undeniably there. Some is negative, as to be expected, but most people just seemed honestly interested in befriending him. Among these was Charlotte, a girl who seemed sweet and welcoming, who walked home in the same direction as he, and even had a part time job in the same location he'd just been employed at. For the first two days, it seemed like he'd made a new friend. But on the third, after an odd encounter in an empty classroom, she started actively avoiding him. Perplexed, he tried to figure out the reason, but she went to crazy lengths to avoid any semblance of a conversation. When he finally found her alone, the reason soon became apparent. She attacked him. He realized the truth; she was a vampire. A vampire with no super strength, speed, or senses, and no weakness for sunlight or crosses or anything that you'd expect from the myths, save for the need to consume human blood in the place of normal food. Her family, however, were all as traditional as it got, and they were none too pleased with his discovering her secret. But, much to their displeasure, they found that he was impervious to their usual mind erasing techniques. Eventually, he was offered a choice. Swear not to tell a soul, and to help her protect her secret from others, or die. Despite this somewhat dramatic opening, the RP will tell the story of two mostly normal teenagers as they deal with school, family issues, and the occasional insane vampire hunter and/or teenage supernatural fanatic. 3. Fantasy, Adventure, Drama, Action Note: Could also be an FxF or MxM. I'd be willing to play either role, though in MxF I prefer female. Could also be made into a small group RP, maybe after a while of being a 1x1. In the kingdom of Maros, any child who shows potential for a magic ability is taken away from their family and to the Mage's Keep in the sprawling capital city. There, they are taught their craft. And they're not allowed to leave until they've passed numerous safety exams and observational periods; most are twenty or more before they leave the tower again. Our characters were both brought in at a very young age, from near-opposite sides of the kingdom. When they were young, the development of their friendship was natural for both of them, each seeking out the other above the fifty or so other students in the keep almost out of instinct. But that was when they were young. As they grew into their teens, one proved to be a prodigy. He was made a full-fledged mage at only fifteen, the youngest in history. When he came back he described to her, in vivid terms, the city they'd only seen from afar since childhood. And she was spellbound, motivated to work all the harder to catch up with him. However, no matter how hard she worked, it seemed that she simply lacked the talent to be an extraordinary, or even average, mage. The two steadily grew apart after that. He, especially, seemed to try his best to maintain their relationship, but grew busy with preparations to join the Keep's top enforcers, a group dedicated to suppressing their own errant kind. She grew distant. Her envy and resentment grew increasingly obvious with every meeting. Their contact ceased. In their time apart, she studied, and studied, and studied, pouring over ancient books and scrolls. She eventually found a magic that she was good at. A dark magic, that involved summonings, rituals, and oaths written in blood. And using it, she found her own way out of the Keep, by blowing a whole straight through it. His first mission as an enforcer was to retrieve her. He thought that it would be an easy task; he was clearly the superior mage. But when he finally caught up to her, he found her in a worse state than he'd feared. She'd bound a demon from the other world to do her bidding and supplement her strength. But, as they fought, she inadvertently released dozens more into their world. Because of their old friendship, a belief that she needed to fix her own mistake, or some other motivation entirely, he does not kill her. Instead, he decides to help her destroy the demons himself. Our RP will follow their adventures together across a fantastical and dangerous land, and their quest to defeat the creatures with the potential to destroy the entire kingdom. 4. Slice-of-Life, Romance, Comedy, Drama Note: These are a bunch of modern ideas that I came up with. Take your pick, they can also be mixed and matched pretty easily. Most of these can be MxF or FxF, though I'd generally like for the roles to stay the same.
-My first plot idea has our characters as childhood friends. They shared everything together, so it was only natural that, one fateful day in middle school, they'd share their first kiss. That would also be the last time they saw each other, as one family would abruptly move the day after. They meet again when one posts an an ad looking for a roommate, and the other character responds. Both have changed, though, and not necessarily for the better. -My next two both have a somewhat similar setup. In both our characters were high school sweethearts, the type that anyone would swear up and down would be together forever. Though they came from the 'opposite sides of the tracks,' so to speak, the disparity between their social classes never really mattered to them. In the first of these two, my character was the wealthy one. Towards the end of the summer of their senior year, the night that your character was planning to propose, my character abruptly breaks it off. She refuses to see yours or speak with him again, and goes off to college without a word to him. Through mutual friends he hears talk of her success in her schooling, her new rich and handsome boyfriend, and basically that her life was going perfectly. Then, several years later, he comes home one day to find that she's moved into the apartment next to his. The next day at work, he even finds that they're co-workers! She swears it's a coincidence, and indeed, fate does seem determined to bring them together. For the next, your character was the wealthy one. This could take place during their college years or beyond, according to your preference. They're dating, or engaged, and very happy with each other, but a freak accident in which your character tries to protect mine ends with him ending up in the hospital and losing his memory. Some things he does vaguely remember; his parents, for example, and their hometown. But he completely forgets about my character and, what's more, his parents never really approved of their relationship in the first place. So your character must struggle to regain his memories while mine tries to make sure that he doesn't forget her, or start a new relationship with one of the various young women his parents do approve of. -In this idea, your character is returning to the hometown that he always despised growing up. A little slice of suburbia that never truly grew much past the fifties, it was always very much the town where everybody was in each other's business, gossiped about those who didn't toe the strict lines of acceptable social behavior, and found ways to judge those who did. He is only coming back for his brother's impending nuptials. Of course, a town of its size would not have an airport, so he flew into a larger city an hour or so away. He stayed there a night, hitting a bar, where he meets my character. They have instant chemistry. A few drinks in, mine laments her loveless relationship and the suspected infidelity of her fiance. Yours complains of his own series of unfortunate relationships and/or lack thereof. One thing leads to another, and they wake up together in his hotel room the next morning. My character freaks out and leaves. Yours heads home later that day to find that, and I'm sure that you didn't see this coming, my character is engaged to your character's brother. Drama! Romance! Once/if they run away together, even more crazy drama-romance-things!
I'd also be interested in an RP having to do with... -Dragon Age (Warden x Warden with different background, mage x templar, OC x OC) -Mass Effect (Shepard x OC, Asari, female Quarian, or female Turian x Human in an AU where humans are only just making first contact, OC x OC) -DC universe -Attack on Titan (OC x OC, or your canons of preference) -Naruto (OC x OC, or your canons of preference; I'm totally down for playing almost any of the main female characters across from either a canon or OC. Next-gen would also be fun to play with) -Harry Potter (OC x OC) -Assassin's Creed (I have played all of the games up to Black Flag, which I'm about a third of the way through) -Twilight (I dislike the series, but I like using the universe while acknowledging the problems with it, if that makes sense; the two main characters of the books are presented as superficial, selfish, and melodramatic, for example. Anyways, I had an idea for Leah x OC)
