Jinny had been looking around, but not aware of the signs of life that Joshua was noticing. In her head, the town was abandoned. But she followed his instructions, nodding and dropping into silence. She took her knife from where she'd left it hanging on her pack. She held it loosely in her hand, but now that Joshua had alerted her, she was prepared for trouble.
