This place is "quiet" for a reason, Darkraven. As of now, I'm not leaning toward accepting another member right at this moment. This role play isn't about accepting as many members as possible just for the sake of having as much interaction as possible and keeping the thread alive. I'm entirely against that idea, because too many characters (that aren't my own) are ridiculous to manage and they make it more complicated to direct the story when I already have a clear vision of where I'm going with it. [B]I'm open to accepting new members only when I feel it is necessary to progress the story along or when some of the former characters have met their end.[/B] Some Gm's wonder why they can never finish their threads and it's because they think accepting a load of members will keep it thriving (and maybe it does to the advantage of the thread's longevity only)... but really, all it does is pull the STORY in different pointless directions and then members end up dropping, because the Gm doesn't know where to take the story anymore, and in truth, it's because the Gm fucked it up for everyone from the beginning. Or alternatively, new characters randomly appear out of nowhere to replace the old ones that fell off the face of the earth and then the role-play turns into a never ending story with no resolution or actual TRUE plot. That's exactly where I'm [B]not[/B] going with this thread and I'd rather have my OOC feel 'quiet' than spammed with ten different members having random conversations that make it difficult for everyone else to discuss the actual importance of the thread. I dunno about anyone else, but I don't role play just to keep an idea going for as long as possible. [B]I role play to start and finish a story.[/B] Rant concluded... Btw all of that wasn't directed towards you - just me ranting about my own opinion. I'm ok with at least three other members besides myself, but I don't feel that allowing another member to join right now is beneficial for the story. If you are interested in Joining Last life, then you could stick around for Chapter 4 or we will have an opening when Part 2 rolls around.
