It's fine with whichever you'd like to do - male or female is fine. 

Slyp, your characters are fine. And their pictures are as well, photo's aren't required, it's just that I chose to use one as it was easier to find a suitable character picture. 
Also, did you consider an F-111B? that was the naval variant that was never produced. Good job otherwise though, I love the F-111 and it's cool to have one in the unit. And I'll add your sheet to the OP ASAP.

You don't need to completely repost it, you can just edit the existing one. There's literally only the single error on your sheet that really needs resolving, along with a little more detail that could use being added to bring it up to scratch with the others.
