You find yourself alone, a mere teenager of fourteen in a somber hall of faint gaslight and heavily curtained windows on the outskirts of the great New York city on a November night. Despite the chill outside you are not cold, however, but are in fact nearly sweltering under the heavy heat emanating from not one but two fireplaces, each on separate ends of the room. 

Tonight you were sent to the Saint-Vincent Rehabilitation Center for Disturbed Youths, or the Saint-Vincent Academy, or some would say Asylum, for short. Tonight on this cold night of the year nineteen hundred and three find you disoriented, and no doubt angry of your family's betrayal, but fear not, you will have your vengeance before this four year pension of yours is out.

You see, you are soon to discover that you will fit right in in this campus, for you see, Headmaster Lucius Mortensen do not seek a cure for you, no, he merely wished for his protege to hide their dark nature under the light and partake in their desires when the sun is out. For you see, this place is neither a prison or an hospital, it is a breeding ground for evil.

So when the calls for corruption and death reaches you, you would do well to heed it and run into it's dark embrace, for only a true killer will thrive here... only a psychopath will find a home in these halls.

As you finish your inspection of the room you were forced into, your disturbed mind focuses upon a previously unseen book with an expensive fountain pen upon it's spine. Opened to a nearly blank page, you can see on the heavy and no doubt expensive vellum the following words, urging you to add your own essence to their being, their crimson color alluring in a way you never experienced before.
