Letting out pathetic sounding breaths of exhaustion, Jane wanted so badly to just close her eyes and disappear into the darkness trying to envelope her mind. The young man's soothing voice was nice to hear. His composure was the opposite of the monstrous bear. She was still frightened by him, having just met him--knowing nothing about him, except that he was in fact real. Was this young man her Guardian Angel? Had she crossed some realm? Was this the afterlife? Did she over dose? "Are you able to walk?" "I--" she tried to stand up, pushing him lightly away from her as to show some sort of physical independence, "No--" she could walk, just not well. Her muddy brown hair swayed lightly back-and-forth as she shook her head softly, trying to express her No in a heavier fashion. "I'm so sorry," she pleaded, as if some form of confession would bring her out of this scary nightmare.
