Gabriel had a rough battle ahead of him. Although he was outnumbered and damaged, his suit was far superior to his opponents and his skills as a Newtype put the battle on even terms. The Zaku units tried a frontal assault at first given their numbers advantage, but soon gave up on that plan when Gabriel was able to damage three of their suits while avoiding the enemy's fire. "Right, I'll try to hurry and mop up these guys and move up to help Sigma. Don't worry about me Miss Baker, I have been through worse. These guys won't stop me, I'll make sure we get our boys home safe." He replied to Baker while he had a moment hiding behind cover. With a Frontal Assault not working the Zaku units had to try and flank the damaged Gundam. The three damaged Zakus started to lay fire down on Gabriel's position in an attempt to pin him down while the other two Zaku's tried to move to Gabriel's side. Gabriel sat calmly waiting, he didn't know exactly what side the enemy units would come from, but he knew they would come and he would be ready for them when they did. 

The enemy Zakus were clumsy and Gabriel was able to pinpoint their location before they opened fire on him. Which turned out to be their bad luck as the first Zaku unit to pop into Gabriel's view received a three shot burst to the chest resulting in an explosion. The sudden attack by Gabriel and explosion of the first flanking Zaku unit caught the second unit off guard and the unit wasn't able to completely avoid the explosion of his ally. And before the unit could fall back he also received a fatal volley of shots from Gabriel's rifle. "Three down three to go..." Gabriel said to himself as he readied himself to attack the dug in Zaku units. "What I wouldn't give for a flash grenade. he thought waiting for a break in the enemy's fire.
