Faction Name: House Wander Faction leader(s): Lord Radcliffe Wander System(s):Celestine Planet(s)/Territories: Eudaimonia, terraformed terran pleasure world. Terraformed in the age of the Imperium to be a luxury resort for the high nobility, its role has changed little since the Fall.
Sola (Moon of Eudaimonia): A Jungle Moon in the orbit of Eudaimonia, the beasts and wilderness of the moon are considered a top-rate hunting resort amongst the nobility, and competition over the rare invitations and licenses to hunt on Sola is high. Luna (Moon of Eudaimonia): Where Sola is a jungle world, Luna is a winter wonderland. Skiing, ice-yachts, comfortable cabins with views of starscapes. It is also a hotbed of covert activity, with spies and agents everywhere in secret meetings or watching the habits of certain persons who frequent the moon. Bulwark (Moon of Eudaimonia): The military base of House Wander's fleet, charged with the custodianship of Eudaimonia and its moons. Here their ships are maintained, repaired, and based from in their constant patrols around the planet to ensure that this place of eden is undisturbed by conflict and pirates. There is also a nominal Ducal Fleet presence as their honored commanders and crews are afforded leave on Eudaimonia or are "detched for joint-training" with the local House Wander Guard. Cog (Moon of Eudaimonia): The primary source of industrial goods and materials for Eudaimonia and House Wander, leaving the paradise world unspoiled and free from the influence of polluting industry. While hardly a major industrial powerhouse, its versitile factories and Molecular Forges meet the needs of a Paradise World and House Wander's fleet needs.
Faction Desc: A House best-characterized by the pleasure world of Eudaimonia, House Wander is an ancient house dating back to the Arcturus Imperium that has always been the custodians of the greatest pleasure world in the Agamenos Sector, a role which has been steadily expanding across the generations as the value of Eudaimonia and pleasure rises. While the House has few aspirations for the Ducal throne, they are noted power-players in the noble courts because of the luxury resorts they hold, the connections they have, and the wealth they can readily afford to spend and replace with ease. Yet as the Grand Duchy begins to deteriorate, the House is beginning to rouse from their complacency to face the growing issues and challenges emerging both from within and beyond the boundaries of the Duchy. And they are more than willing to rise to the challenge. History: The world that is Eudaimonia was formerly an arid rock discovered a thousand years ago by the Arcturus Imperium at the height of their power. Government type: Hereditary Aristocracy Members of House Wander: House Lord Radcliffe Wander House Matriarch Lyndis Starborn-Wander
Age: 48 Gene-Mods: Grade-S Starborn Matriarch biosculpt package (elfish features, extremely attractive, white hair), Prolong (age-locked at 25), Vitae Life Support (control over self-generated chemicals and glands) Lyndis comes from the minor Starborn Noble House, the keepers of the moons of Sola and Luna and bonded vassals of House Wander. Happily married to Radcliffe Wander, Lyndis is considered one of the greatest beauties in Eudaimonia if not the whole sector even before she embraced Ishtar-type genemodding for her iconic elfish features and elegantly sculpted body in the tradition of Starborn matriarchs, but is hardly a trophy wife. Where politics are her husband's realm, management of Eudaimonia and the House's domestic assets is firmly her province and where she excels as an administrator and businesswoman. On her off days, she prefers to attend and sponsor galas and dances, designing elegant dresses and cosplay outfits to mingle and interact with the upper crust of the nobility and society. Although she much rather prefers the affections and company of her husband when she can obtain some of his precious time. While a self-admitted hedonist and womanizer taking full advantage of his family’s ownership of Eudaimonia’s luxury resorts and pretty women (biosynth, not normal-born. Claus has issues after his first date with a girl), Claus also has unusual pull and sway over the Freelancer mercenaries that frequent Eudaimonia, striking several odd friendships with infamous mercenaries such as “The Warlord” Magnus or the “GENTLEMAN ADVENTURER” Olivares. None of the Wanders is exactly certain what kicked off these friendships, nor do they want to ask. Besides getting into antics with his Freelancer friends, Claus also takes a noted interest in biosynthesis and designing new models of biosynth, surrounding himself in creations he has made and programmed himself, most of them female. Mocking accusations of perversion of ancient technology aside, he is very good at what he does and the family has use for the endless line of interesting friends he seems to come across and hire to deal with the House’s problems in an underhanded fashion. And for all his vices, he deeply loves his family.
Military Capabilities: House Wander’s private house fleet is primarily charged with the protection and custodianship of Eudaimonia, with its origins and martial roots resting in the original Custodian Fleet of the Arcturus era. While not a militant house, the wealth continuously traveling through Eudaimonia allows House Wander to afford heavier ships than a mid-rank House would normally possess, and the Ducal Fleet is willing to turn a blind-eye towards their acquisition of advanced klein-bottle shield technology as part of their protector role.
Guardian-class Battleship Nova-class Battlecruiser At the core of the Eudaimonia Fleet are the Ships of the Wall. Four squadrons of battlecruisers, four squadrons of battleships, each squadron retaining four ships. The battleships serve as sentry guardians along key points of travel and trade near and around Eudaimonia and its moons, whilst the battlecruisers lead packs of destroyers and cruisers on roving patrols against pirates, raiders, or other enemies of the House and Eudaimonia. The principal armament of both ships rest in their dorsal and ventral superheavy beam cannons, supplemented by broadsides of missiles and beam cannons, trading volleys of fire against their enemies in dashing broadside duels. In addition to the heavy armor and compartmentalization afforded by capital ships, they are also protected by Klein-bottle energy shields normally reserved for the Ducal Fleet.

Knight-class Cruiser Storm-Class Destroyer Minuteman-class Frigate Where the Ships of the Wall are primarily concerned with war, the Ships of the Squadron are chiefly concerned with patrolling the space and holdings of House Wander against pirates and raiders and maintaining vigil over threats both far and near. Hundreds of frigates and destroyers are in the service of House Wander to best-suit its defensive standing.

The Legendary-class Dreadnought was the brain-child of Klyber Wander, former House Patriarch before Radcliffe. Foreseeing the need for House Wander to step above its role as mere custodians of a pleasure world, Klyber went to take drastic measures and projects to firmly establish a new House Wander. One such project was expanding the House Fleet with a flagship dreadnought. 5.5 km long, while little to compare to the true ships of the Ducal Fleet, it is the single largest and greatest shipbuilding project House Wander has attempted on its own. In truth, the Legendary is still half under-construction, with chronic worker and industry shortages grinding progress to a halt until recently with a Claus Wander-developed biosynth workforce and new investment into the project. Other Houses consider the dreadnought's construction to be a minimal military threat, given House Wander's primarily defensive stance, but a respectable venture by a former custodial House and an easy way to curry favor by gifting technology and funding. But the actual construction from keel up has always been House Wander alone. With the times changing for the worse, new emphasis is being placed on its completion for the protection of Eudaimonia. As the first of a shield of ships to come. While many consider it to be the "Lion's toy-army" due to Claus' preference of pretty faced commanding biosynths and flashy tech and fighting styles, they are much more competent than they look due to intensive training with mercenaries Claus frequently hires. Biosynth soldiers are gradually overtaking large parts of the other House Brigades. Wolf Troopers are pack-hunter biosynths trained in coordinated attacks and maneuvers. Wolf-type biosynths are engineered for heightened reflexes and coordination between individual wolves in the field. Dog Troopers The cannon fodder mass-produced infantry of the Lion's Pride, Dog Troopers are meant to be mass produced and deployed in bulk. Their gene-mods are simple strength and endurance enhancers to extend their combat span, while above all else be extremely loyal and obedient to their appointed commanding officers. They are built for extended general combat, while the Wolves are mission-based forces. While at first regarded as a silly indulgence by both the Wanders and other Houses for their bunny-ear helmets and nomenclature, their effectiveness against pirate bases and security actions on Eudaimonia promptly put an end to such mocking commentary when their capacity for ambush warfare was discovered. Shortly after, many begane to call them "hetzers", an ancient word for baiter, just as the Rabbit lures the enemy into the claws of the Bears. The longstanding contracts, marriages, traditional ties, and good pay effectively make Steelhead Security a valued vassal to House Wander. A business arrangement they are quite satisfied in maintaining.
