Connor glanced to her briefly, slowing the car. "You won't give in" He said softly, "But I'll be there if you do" That was all he said, falling silent again. He would do what needed to be done, not that it would need to be. He didn't think she would falter. "We need a new topic" He pondered that for a few moments, then shrugged. "Like what? How to bake a perfect cupcake?" He stopped the car, pulling over, and checking the map. He wanted to see if tey could reach the town after the next one before sun up. It would feel as if they were making progress at least. Judging that they could, he started to drive again. Which was just as well, because no sooner had he pulled away from the side of the road, then a grey blur streaked passed, and Connor cursed, looking up at the sky. A false full moon. An illusion that the moon was full, and he cursed, and sped up the road, pulling over once again, he quickly reached into the back and took out his gun with its silver bullets. "Werewolf" He said, "False moon. I knew there was going to be one this year, but..." It was a very rare occurrence, and he only knew about it because of ancient, translated notes, and one possibly bogas internet site. He had a heart stopping moment, recalling the teenage girl back home, and he let out a regretful sigh. He couldn't do anything for her, and most like Merl would put a stop to her. He got out the car, eyes darting around, seeing the streak of the werewolf. He started to fire.
